Description

LIBERTY HEAD NICKEL DETAILS (ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE)

✦ THE DETAILS

Liberty Head Nickel. Composition: 75% Cu / 25% Ni.

Condition: grades in the verbal range above (raw, conservative seller estimate). This Liberty Head Nickel exhibits severe environmental damage disqualifying it from numeric grading. Observable evidence includes: extensive dark gray-green corrosion across both obverse and reverse, active pitting and surface deterioration, rough texture from moisture damage, and heavy circulation wear rendering design details nearly flat. The environmental damage is pervasive and consistent with prolonged exposure to harsh conditions. Per NGC standards, this receives a Details grade only with the designation Environmental Damage. Grade set to 0 with is_altered=true as required for all altered/problem coins.

Ships from Thrift By Mail in a protective holder inside a sealed envelope for safe transit. See photos for the exact item you will receive. Fast handling and honest grading guaranteed.
